Dinawan Substation — SynCon Installation

Year
Ongoing
Location
Dinawan, NSW
Client
Elecnor

Project Overview

Optimal Power delivered the full electrical installation package for the SynCon project at Dinawan Substation on behalf of Elecnor Australia, with synchronous condenser units and associated control systems supplied by Andritz. Works encompassed all HV, LV and ELV electrical works required for the installation and integration of two synchronous condenser units and supporting plant across the facility.

Optimal Power worked closely with Elecnor Australia and Andritz throughout pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, providing commissioning assistance, fault rectification support and system validation — contributing to the successful energisation of the Dinawan SynCon facility. The project is currently in close-out phase with minor defect rectification underway ahead of final handover.
