Project Overview

Appointed as Principal Contractor, Optimal Power mobilised in late 2025 to deliver full civil and electrical works for a new 220kV capacitor bank bay at Balranald — all within a live yard with no outages required until final energisation. Commissioning of the circuit breaker and interface with Transgrid was completed in April 2026.

  • Firewall T1 to Bay 1B — 6m auger foundations
